DIRECTIONS – Take SR 2 into LaPorte to two blocks east of courthouse; turn south on Monroe/SR 4 and go 1.2 miles to auction on left.  Auction held indoors.

 

We will be running two rings for this auction…the front room will have many of the books and pieces of ephemera as well as many of the collectibles.  In the back room we’ll have glassware, ceramics, stereo equipment, and many other items.

Large quantity of items just arrived for this auction and includes:

 

EPHEMERA – Floyd Clymer’s Indy 500 Mile Race Yearbook, 1954; few early 1960’s Hot Rod & other car magazines; 1960 Nicholas Valpe Academy Awards prints (up to 1960…lot of 68 in binder…very nice); lot of 11 Movie Star & Hollywood magazines (older including Screen Greats Series #4 Marilyn Monroe, John Wayne & others); large lot of Movie Star photos from old magazines; 3 binders full of assorted postcards; many older magazines in including 1880’s Life, Youth’s Companion, Saturday Evening Post, and more. 

 

STAMP & FIRST DAY COVERS – book w/ 1934 Duck stamp and other older stamps (1861 Washington, 1800’s Franklins, old Revenue stamps & more); several binders w/ First day covers from 1930’s to 1940’s; Bicentennial First Day Issues from 1975; binder w/ 18 WWII era 1st Issues; binder w/ patriotic covers (over 200); and other miscellaneous.
